![]() ![]() Sadly it seems that you can't natively catch original versions of Alolan Pokémon in Pokémon Sun and Moon. We've had great success doing this around the first island, catching critters like Chikorita and Bulbasaur.Ĥ. Every ten you scan, you can run an "island scan", and it'll spawn one of those Pokémon into the islands. There's a new feature hidden in the menu that lets you scan QR codes you find in the real world to unlock non-Alolan Pokémon in your game and catch Poké friends like Charmeleon in Pokémon Sun and Moon.Įach QR code you scan will give you info on a Pokémon you can't usually find in Alola. It's incredibly useful as it'll affect the way your Pokémon battles, so you may need to switch them out or use an X Attack or something. ![]() It's here that all your Pokémon's stats will show up along with indicators as to the effected stats. Well, you can now do this mid-battle by tapping the little replica of your Pokémon in the centre of the battle screen. You might want to check the evasiveness of your Pokémon, whether its attack has been effected or your defence or any of the other stats of your Pokémon. Check your Pokémon's stat effects mid-battleĪnother tweak Pokémon Sun and Moon have made to battling is being able to check the stats of your Pokémon mid-battle. It's especially useful when you've got to face a more powerful version of something you've seen earlier, so keep an eye on those indicators.Ģ. Their effectiveness ranges from "super effective" through to "not very effective" and even "no effect", especially when you're battling a Ghost Type Pokémon. That's because you now get indicators on how effective each of your Pokémon's moves will be against that foe if you've battled them before. There’s no telling what kind of surprises these villagers have in store.Now we know that battling the same Pokémon over and over again can be a bit of a bore, but in Pokémon Sun and Moon you actually gain some advantage from fighting the same Pokémon again. ![]() If you want as much of a head start as possible when Pokemon Sun and Moon launch on November 18th, be sure to jump back in to the demo on the days listed above. Talk to the cafe owner inside the Pokemon Center, who is supposed to return in “about a month.” It’s still unclear if this is one of the events or not. Talk to the first woman you see inside the Ferry Terminal on the Marina. Talk to the policeman by the lamppost on the Marina. Talk to the man with the Pikachu inside Hau’oli City Hall. Talk to the woman standing by the street sign in the bottom left corner of town. Talk to the man standing outside the Pokemon Center. It can be a bit of a hassle to keep up with (or even find) all of the villagers, but with our event guide below, you won’t have to! Just keep checking back here if you need a reminder about when or where you’re supposed to go on a given day: 1 Day Later (October 19th) It turns out that if you return on the days they specify, you’ll receive some additional items that you can transfer to your full copy of Pokemon Sun or Pokemon Moon when the games launch next month. As we mentioned in our Sun and Moon demo guide yesterday, there are several villagers around Hau’oli who tell you to come back after a certain amount of time has passed. ![]()
